Preliminary exercise Evaluation.

WWW: We divided our planning process in 15 different shots. This helped our exercise as we kept referring back to the sheet for guidance. In the planning we were going to do the extreme close-up of the faces to show facial expressions, however instead we felt it would be vital if we showed the hand movements and the shoes. As this would create suspense and draw the audience closer, so they can be enticed in knowing what is going to happen next. Moreover, their is also Barts theory as it creates enigma codes having the close-ups because it represents how one of the characters are scared that's why she's tapping her shoes. Were as, the other character has higher authority and this is represented in the close-up of the finger tips  as she is waiting for an answer, and it symbolises how impatient she is. The other shots were successful as we kept it in mind, and used it in the clip. It was very helpful having it planned, otherwise we would of been confused, and would of developed on the spot things. We didn't break the rule of 180 degree which was effective, the colouring and editing all came together correctly.

EBI: Next time If we had more time in our hands, I feel we could of came up with more interesting ideas as it's could of been more creative. We could've added more characters and used more shots so we could get used to the camera and use different elements to it. So we can have a better idea when doing our final post production. Moreover, I felt that having music in the clip would build more tension for the audience as they would be engaged in it. Also, we could've added more shots to add to the effect and tension. Example, hand-held camera moving left to right in the beginning showing how nervous she is.

The clip focuses on two main characters, they are represented as the protagonists. In the beginning of the clip it starts with a long shot of the character, we felt this was the right type of shot to use as the audience are able to clearly see her costume, body language and possibly the location which it's shot in. When the she arrives at the door she is slowly about to go inside, this connotes motion of enigma code as it indulges them into thinking who else is going to be in their. So it also foreshadows something, the audience perhaps are expecting already. The long shot and mid close up was beneficial as the audience are well aware that she's upset, due to her facial expressions. There is an extreme close-up of the girls hand when she's touching the handle, this again creates suspense whilst it draws the audience in closer.

As their consists of one person in the beginning the background is very silent which denotes that it's a serious issue and foreshadows that the character is going to go in some sort of conference room to, meet someone else. Their also some use of binary opposition in the scene which is effective, as it contrasts the different colours which is the background colour being a mysterious type of colour. With the colours of the clothes the characters wearing doesn't suit which depicts complete opposition

In the first scene their is some use of both high and low-key lighting as their are some shadows coming from the background. This connotes how the clip is going to be intense as it move on into the coming scene. As she walks in their is use of low- angle shot showing how she's reacting when she's inside whilst having the upset facial expressions. The audience thus are able to notice that this expression is consistent and it is also building on the suspense which the audience are yet to see.

Their is a wide shot of the two characters sitting down along side a big table and the audience, focus on the different body languages and facial expressions which are being used. For example, Ashwariya is looking downwards showing bottom of the hierarchy she has no power. Were as I am directly looking at it which represents, I have the higher authority and how angry I am at her due to facial expressions. After, their is a fertilize shot gazing on the characters hands tapping slowly on the table, connoting how frustrated and impatient she is. Then theirs a straight cut towards, Ashwariya's shoes tapping connoting how worried she is due to her being fidgety.
